Access to the conversation

Accessibility at Peaceful Pairs

Last updated October 20, 2026

People should be able to use Peaceful Pairs to reflect and talk through disagreements with the tools and settings that work for them. We are working to make the website and app easier to use with a keyboard, assistive technology, enlarged text, and reduced motion.

Our target and current status

Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, including the applicable WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA requirements. This is a development and evaluation target, not a claim that every requirement has been met.

We have not completed a comprehensive independent accessibility audit and do not currently publish a completed Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) or VPAT-based report. Automated checks cover only part of accessibility. They cannot establish conformance or replace testing with people who use assistive technology.

Using this website

What still needs evaluation

Testing with screen readers, including VoiceOver and TalkBack on physical devices, is still needed across complete app journeys. Browser checks of this website do not verify native app behavior. We also need broader testing of speech and switch input, text spacing, high-contrast settings, and combinations of assistive technology and browsers.

Some links lead to external services, including the campus booking service. Their accessibility is outside our direct control. If booking is difficult, you can contact us by email instead.

Report a barrier or request information

Email [email protected] with “Accessibility” in the subject. You can report a problem, ask about an alternative way to complete a task, or request the current evaluation notes and assessment plan for your school.

If you can, include the page or app screen, what you were trying to do, and your browser, device, and assistive technology. Describe what happened and what you expected. You do not need to disclose a disability, private conversation text, passwords, or verification codes.

Reports help us reproduce barriers and prioritize improvements. We can discuss available workarounds and the status of an issue without promising a resolution date before it has been assessed.
